Hello all, I have tried a supplement specifically for hypothyroid disease. It is called Thyrin ATC and I bought it at Wal-mart. It has really helped. I am at least losing consistently 2-3 pounds every 10 days. Finally someone has paid attention to the masses of hypothyroid patients. Try it, if you are hypothyroid. It is about 20$ for a months supply, but I like it. Take care and be healthy!

My wife has hypothyroidism and she finds it hard to lose weight. I was wondering though... she already takes Levoxyl. This is to make her thyroid function normally. Will this supplement that you are talking about interfere with her medication? Please let me know. I know that she is always saying she is fat. I want to help her. Ramon

Sandra- What exactly is in the supplement? Is that in addition to your synthroid medication (generic levothroid, levoxyl)? Janet

I don't want to be all negative so I hope I don't come off that way. And I am no expert. But its not good to take those drug/supplements. I was hyperthyroid (Graves Disease) which means your body produces too much. And one side affect is weight loss, but there is also damage being done to your liver, heart and bone density. I had all the side effects, but weight loss! DAMN IT hehehe But I would just be careful. Since having radiation, I am now hypothyroid and I asked about that supplement and my doctor about freaked that I was even considering it since its so bad for you. So just please be careful and talk to your doctor and see what they say. Just my opinion. Michelle 311/169/165

I agree Michelle. I was just diagnosed as having Hashimoto's disease. There is so much more to thyroid disease than I ever knew. Lori 241/145/136
