I had my rue n y oin Nov. 1st. of last year, my starting weight was 326 pounds. When I began my journy, i began with realistic goals (I believe 75 pounds is very realistic). Unfortunately however, I have lost all means of support since then. I have yet to have my first post op appointment (the surgeon quit practice soon after performing my surgery), I have not been going to support group meetings(the only group in my town disbanded sonn after my surgery was obtained). I have been stuck at the same weight (246) for 4 months now, and am getting rather frustraited about it. I'm wondering if maybe, most of the weight is from the sagging skin on my thighs, arms, breasts, and tummy, it makes my hips, arms, and back hurt.

Ty, Is there any other wls doctors in your area? I would find one as soon as possible if I were you, just to have a go to person. This website is a great support. I don't go to any support group meetings at all and come here to check in occasionally. Although 80lbs is a great loss, I think I'd want to see a doctor to why you are in pain. Are you taking your vitamins and B12 as you should? How about the Calcium Citrate? Are you taking them everyday per your surgeon's instructions before he left the practice? If you aren't, that might be a link to your pain. I have lost 114lbs and don't have any pain from my excess skin, but each of us is different. I wish you to best and hope you can link up with a new doctor or at least a very good regular doctor soon!! Erica 258/144/130-140ish

I too think an 80 pound loss since surgery is pretty good, it's just about what I've done. The last few months have been very slow when it comes to weight loss. I'd check out the your state board to see if you can hook up with some body in your area. Maybe there's a doc or support group. Do you have a nutritionist that you could see? I'm hoping for plastic surgery, but think I'll wait until next year, wait until everything settles. Then I'll see just how much I look like sharpei.... best wishes diane

Hi Diane Having had time to think, I think i'm going to wait on the plastic surgery as well. I will be a year post op this November 1st, think i'll give it another year and see where i'm at. By that time I will be living in Florida and i hope there will be better choices there. I really need to get a more recent picture up there on my information page. Ty
