Anyone doing this type of exercise to tone, etc? And if you are, how's it going? Do you like it or not?

Amy: I do Tang Soo Do, a Korean Martial Arts. I just love it and when I am training I loose weight and tone too. I like the Korean art, because it deals with the whole person concept and lots of self-control. It is amazing how well martial arts helps with all aspects of your life. I had to have a major hernia repair on 6 July 05 and I cannot practice until 1 Oct 05. Bummer. I hate not being able to do my training, but don't want another hernia operation either. It's only six more weeks. One other thing, my loss slows down when I cannot train. You go for it!!! I hope you fall in love with pilates like I have for Tang Soo Do and Self-Defense. Thanks for the response Pam. I think I am gonna try this pilate stuff. I ran into a lady that had an open bypass 3 years ago... she used pilates to tone up - and i need something that I can do whenever I have the time - be it 3 am or otherwise lol...exercise is my weakest point right now, and I know in my heart if I was doing it, I would be losing faster and not tettering ...so my goal is to get something and get into a routine-

Hiya Amy, I havent started pilates but I have been meaning to(for a few months now) but it is hard to fit into my schedule because I run usually 4 - 5 days per week. I wanted to do it because my middle is just a mess!! LOL I would love to tone up my belly. My legs are very strong from running and my arms are strong too - its just this week middle - I do need to do some core strengthening - If you get into it, let me know how it goes! God bless you and keep you, ~Andrea

I take a pilates class at the gym.. it is fantastic... It is not that hard, but you feel the workout in your core abdominals, mostly. Some positions take a few weeks to be able to move into, but you will. It is fantastic! Good luck!
