GOAL!!!
WOW - I cant believe I did it!! I reached my goal!! I have lost 100 lbs in 10 months and 12 days. I am so thankfull to the Lord for this surgery - it has helped me to become a very healthy woman - no more cholesterol worries, no more diabetes worries, no more blood pressure worries. Who would have thought that I would be healthy and fit and running 5 miles a day??? Not me, not really. I thought I would be someone that it didnt work for, or someone who didnt use the tool properly. I guess I got so used to failing in diets that I just figured I would fail at this one too - but here I am - living proof!!
Thanks for letting me share my wonderful news!!
God bless you and keep you,

Andera: You go girl. I have lost 114 pounds. My surgery date was 11/17/04. It doesn't seem real. I practice martial arts and love it. Had to have major hernia repair 6 July 05 and haven't been able to go back to my martial arts yet. Doctor wants me to wait until the end of September to make sure all the repair is healed. I do walk with weights, otherwise I don't even sweat. Like you I fear everyday that I will fail at this diet too. I started out at 327 pounds. I still need to lose 80, but am afraid I won't because my weight loss has slowed down. I usually lose about 2 pounds a week. Sometimes my loss just plain stops.
I am proud of you, you have done a wonderful job. Keep up the running!

Hiya Pam,
Thanks!! - You are doing awesome - 114 lbs gone forever! Break that last 80 down into smaller, sooner achieved intervals, like 10 lbs each. For me little goals made things so much easier. I know about those plateaus too - I didnt lose anything for a month at one point. I figured that it would start again and it did. 2 lbs a week is still very good - you are exercising, even if you are unable to do the martial arts yet so that is good. If you continue to follow your surgeon's/nutritionists diet and if you continue to exercise I know you will lose every ounce you want!
God bless you and keep you,
~Andrea
