Hi all.... I am having such a problem with digesting pasta!! I have tried every kind out there, from regular to whole wheat, low carb and even tried different shapes thinking that might help!! Anyone out there in my boat? Thanks.... Karry 311/172/155 goal

Hi there, Yeah I am as well although I am only 3 weeks post-op it seems to just sit in my little tummy and make me feel ill , and I am following the directions and only doing 1/4 of a cup , I think I am done with it for a while and will try again later. Angie

I have the opposite problem. I find carbs much easier to eat and digest than protein. Try just little tiny bits of it with lots of protein, that might help.

I don't know if I should say lucky you, or unlucky you??? I know they tell us to do as low carb as possible. I find certain carbs sit o.k, but overall not very well. Take care, Karry

Dear Karry, I think it's the white flour. I'm good for about 2 ounces and then I fart my brains out, oh yes with a "little" diarrhea thrown in too. So, I don't have it very often knowing what I know. I have to be willing to live with the consequences. And occasionally I am. Last nite, linguine with clam sauce -- YUM. Best regards, Fern B. 267/176/150 (Who knows?)

I guess your right....Suffer the consequences!! I don't eat it as often as I would like too. Especially now with all the summer salads out, pasta, macaroni.....Yummy! But they don't like me!! Thanks Fern, Karry

I don't miss pasta that much because I didn't eat it very much before. But I made tortellini when we were at the beach last week. I cooked garlic, onions, mushrooms, snowpeas and a broccoli/water chestnut/carrot veggie mix in a little butter. Threw in some fresh, peeled and deveined shrimp I bought from a vendor and cooked until they were pink. Added the tortellini and some Alfredo sauce and added some Parmesan cheese and it was yummy. I probably only ate a few tortellini but ate the shrimp and veggies. My family loved it with some salad and some fresh French bread. I probably cooked more on vacation than I do at home. At home I'm busy selling houses and taking care of other things. But it was fun cooking. Alice From DAllas 11/10/04 285/175/172
