Plastic Surgery Anybody?
Bonnie,
I am CERTAIN I will be having plastic surgery in the future, but have to wait until we are done having babies first. We want at least one more and most likely two, so it will be a few years for me. Please share with us what you find out though!! I want a tummy tuck and definitely a breast lift. But realizing the breast lift will need to be more reconstruction than just a lift. I was a 46DDD before surgery and with all the skin, I am a 36DDD!! It's so gross!! I was trying on bathing suits yesterday, which I looked okay in, but God forbid I stretched too far one way or the other, you could see my skin on my breasts turn into a scrunchy gross mess!! I am only 10lbs from the highest weight for my ideal body weight, but think I would like to lose about 20 more lbs so I am comfortably in the range. My arms aren't too bad, so I don't think I will be trading the skin in for that horrible scar!! I would love to hear about your plastics journey, so keep us updated! I do know that you should make sure whoever does the tummy tuck tightens the abdominal muscles underneath or I guess it just doesn't tighten up right otherwise. Just an FYI. I have done a very small amount of research up until now, but am sure in the next couple of years, I will be ready to dive into it. Good luck to you

Hi Bonnie,
I am 8 months out and have already had my right arm done and tomorrow I have my left arm done. Doctor said there was no fat left in the arm so it was ok to do them. Other parts of the body aren't done "shifting" so he wants me to wait until January or February before thinking about my legs.
My arms and legs were the worst part of the excess skin because I carried a lot of weight in those parts of my body when I was MO. I was never big enough to even approach the insurance co. for help, so I'm working my ass off with two jobs to save to get them done.
Plastic surgery is very difficult in comparison to the lap surgery, so be prepared and if I can offer the best advice about ps, DO NOT EVER have it done in the summer. (wish I had known this before I started this) The heat really causes a lot of "issues" because you must wear compression garments that are made of nylon and spandex and really make you sweat which irritates the incisions.
Good luck with the journey
