1. What was your total excess weight (highest weight - ideal weight or goal weight)? Highest weight was 277 (well could have been higher but I rarely weighed myself) Ideal is about 165 (I'm 6' tall range is 140 - 184 lbs), so excess would be 112 lbs. 2. How many lbs have you lost?? 114lbs! 3. What % of your excess weight have you lost??? 101% 4. What new thing have you tried or added to your life that you never dared to before??? (can't wait to hear details about some of those positions people : ) Just about everything. I am much more outgoing and willing to talk to strangers now. I feel like I can be the life of the party or I can be quiet and not have to be the funny fat girl. 5. How has your life changed since surgery???? It has really changed my relationship with people and how I look at others. I am more active and can do things and go places and not feel like I am embarassing others just being around them. 6. What surprises you most about your new life?? How I can still feel fat. I went from a size 22/24 to an 8/10 and I still feel HUGE. I just wonder how skinny will I have to be for me to see it.

Hiya B, Wow - everyone is doing great - and a special congratulations to Erin who is down 101% of her excess weight!!! GOAL!!!!! WOO HOOO Ok - how am I doing? 1. My total excess weight was 100 lbs. 2. I have lost 96 lbs. 3. I have lost 96% of my excess weight. 4. Some new things I am trying are running, running in races instead of sitting on the side like a lump on a log and feeling out of place while my hubby brought home medals from the races, buying clothes in nice stores that usually cater only to the thin - hey wait - thats me now!! hehehe 5. My life has mostly changed in just the feedom I feel physically to do so many new things. Nothing holds me back, no pain in my legs or my back (well still a little pain in my back but that is nothing like it was). Also, I dont feel like people are looking at me and saying "oh my, look at that fat lady, why doesnt she just stop eating?" I am ashamed to say that when I was in high school (I was thin and fit back then) and went to the gym and saw women my size that is what I thought in my head about them. 6. I guess what surprises me most about my new life is just how great I feel being me!! LOL God bless you and keep you, ~Andrea

I wanted to wait until the 17th but I got too excited!!! Here I am 1. Total excess weight = 171 lbs (316-145) 2. I have lost 101 lbs!!!! CENTURY CLUB HERE I AM! 3 % of excess weight 101/171 x 100 = 59% 4. I tried Tai Chi... always wanted to take it but was surely shy about that 5. Unbelievable! New job...more active... beginning to rejoin life... 6. I was surprised by the people who were really threatened by my weight loss - I truly didn't expect it... and it wasn't other obese friends... there were some normal weight people who seem to now see me as serious competition??!!! go figure!! I am also surprised about how full my life has become and how little I think about food - I eat anything and everything I want and continue to lose...and it always surprises me when I get full so quickly...sometimes a taste is enough! Thanks to all of you who did respond.... boy this does get interesting as time goes on!!! B
