Another Hernia Surgery

Well I have to have another hernia surgery on Monday, this will be the 4th surgery in 9 months and I think that totally sucks. Thanks for letting me vent. Carla

Carla, I am soooo sorry to hear about the hernia!! Did you have open or Lap RNY? Do they know what is causing you to get them? Do they have to do it right away? I know some people wait until they can also do a tummy tuck to have it fixed, but not sure you can wait or if you are planning to do any kind of plastic surgeries. I pray you come through okay and that they are able to mend it permanently this time!! Erica 258/155/130-135ish

hi carla my name is ann ford and just wanted to let you know that i'll be praying for you on monday when you have your hernia surgery. i'm having so much trouble with my stomach that they told me that it was a hernia in the begining and i just had a egd scope test done on the 14th of july he told it wasn't a hernia but told me that it is bad and has to be taken care of right a way and that he is concerned about it.then they told me in the hospital that they don't know what it is and that i have nothing to worry about but mean while i'm the one in pain and doubling up and can't stand sometime's. so i'll pray for you on monday.you take care. Hi Carla so sorry your going through this. I can't imagine being on my 4th surgery. I had surgery last Wed for an internal hernia, a little different animal but still no fun. I have to say though, one of the last things I said before being put out was I would so do this again in a heartbeat. I am down 137 pounds and feeling so much better. I am also so shocked at how quickly I am recovering this time from surgery, I am 4 days out and I am up and functioning pretty well. Thanks guys, I am home and I am doing fairly well considering this is the 4th surgery on the same incision, but I am on some good pain meds. I get my staples out on Monday, the whole incision was repaired again from sternum to belly button. Hopefully this time it will take and no other problems will arise. Thanks for all the prayers. Carla
