Time for an update from everyone
Ok, I had my surgery on Nov. 10th. I am down 84 lbs since surgery and 117 total from highest weight. I am only 18 lbs from my surgeon's goal and 20 from mine. I feel wonderful. I can run!!! I haven't run in years. I can breathe again, which is always nice.
My wow moments, 1. I lost 117 lbs! The most weight I've ever lost in my life. 2. People who are seeing me for the first time since surgery and not even recognizing me. 3. I was able to use the seat belt on the airplane last month!!
There have been many WOW moments. But for now I'm just really enjoying being me for a change. I like the person I see in the mirror.
God bless,
~Angel

I had my surgery on 11/16/04- starting weight was 302. I have lost 73 pounds since surgery and 86 from my highest weight. I have another 69 pounds to make it to my goal weight. I have been struggling alot with depression since surgery and coming to terms with life. I am seeking help finally. I am having a hard time with eating carbs too.
My greatest WOW moments are 1) being able to cross my legs again - even under my desk at work and 2) being able to move again.

Hey everyone!!!!
-I have lost 92 pounds
-I am 17 pounds from my goal
-I am feeling GREAT!!!!! I need to exercise more, I have a little bit of skin issues. So I know if I start exercising HOPEFULLY it will help tone some of it up. I have been vacationing with my family as usual, BUT I am having much more fun!! We go to amuzement parks all summer long....and I ride anything I want!!!! No more worrying if I fit or not in anything. Now some rides I don't ride....fear, not size. I am trying not to eat as frequently. I still find myself hungry or wanting every couple of hours. The weight is much slower, but I am hoping to reach goal by my year anniversary. I feel good where I am at, but sure would love to see myself at goal! Everyone keep up the good work, and God Bless!!!
I meant to reply to this last week, but guess now is good too I am down 103lbs and only have 15-25lbs more to go to my ideal goal. I only need to lose 15 more to get into my ideal body weight BMI range, but 25 more to get in the mid-range I am sooo excited about it and am very confident that I make goal by my 1 year anniversary!! I have exercised very occasionally off and on since surgery, so thinking the addition of an exercise program will get the weight off pretty quickly. I am slowing down to about 7lbs a month right now, but it is still better than I was doing on any diet I have tried in the past. The excess skin is starting to annoy me, but that will come off in time! LOL Glad to see everyone is doing so well! I feel like my old self again
Wow moments:
Hubby has carried me over every threshold in the house!! LOL I had never in my life been carried over a threshold of anything, so this is HUGE to me!!
I GREW an inch since having surgery!! I am now 5'3", which is soooo amazing!!

Yesterday I fit into a size 8!!!!!!!!!! needless to say I'm a little happy!!
I am down 74lbs and I am 13lbs from doc's goal and 20 lbs from my goal!
I feel great, keep active, and I'm enjoying life!! I'm so happy to see all my Nov buddies are doing so well!!

Hi, I had surgery 11/19 and have lost 73 lb from my high wt of 308. It's been a long time since I've been 235, so I'm happy, but would like to lose some more. My doc didn't give me a goal wt, but my next goal will be to get under 200, and then if it works out maybe get to 150. I feel good with no major problems. My biggest wow is at work I passed someone in the hall who didn't recognize me, and being able to fit in a 40C has been exciting. I eat pretty normally and am good about vitamins; the hair that I lost is coming back in curlier than before! We've all done a great job no matter how much we've lost. Yea! Jan
