Hi, everyone, It's been a while since I have posted but I couldn't contain my excitement. I've lost 118 pounds since my surgery and I finally fit into a size 18 pants and 16 dress' I was shocked when I recently went out to buy a few things to hold me over, when I tried on pair of jeans that were size 18 and they fit. Before surgery I was just going into a size 30 jeans and they days of thinking outside of the 20s were few and far between. I recently learned that I have to have another operation on a hernia that has developed on my incision. My happiness at the weight my new size and my new found freedom has overshadowed any complication that could arise. I labeled this letter to y'all as freedom-because I have so much of it. I work in a day-care and teach small children and in the past I couldn't sit on the floor with them for long periods of time. Now I can. I went to Hershey Park and could fit the seat of every roller coaster I rode that day. I can stand without assistance. I have gotten over the fear of public seating. From a restaurant booth to movie theater seat-I'm free to sit where ever I want. This is wonderful!! These things might be small potatoes to a person who has never had a weight problem but to us they would make or break our day. Negativity is not in my vocabulary anymore and it's not a way of life. The way I talk to myself has changed and this has helped my tremendously. So friends I hope this week when we celebrate the freedom we have because of the blood of our fore fathers we can be equally happy of our new found freedom through weight loss. Mary Rose

Congrats!! That is wonderful. I know what you mean about freedom, I feel the same way. No more wondering if I fit into a seat. No more having to scour a place for a big enough chair. Ain't it grand!! I am down 122 since surgery, 148 altogther and just dropped the "W" from my pant size. I am now a 16, not a 16W, it was a thrill to say goodby to the "Women's" section. I was a tight 28 when I started so I know the feeling. Keep it up, you are doing FABULOUS!!!!
