Do you guys eat normall food
First I would like to tell all of you I finally hit 100 pounds. I can't believe it I finally made it.
Also I've noticed my food choices are much different then a month ago I eat pretty much what my family eats of course not the same amount. I was cooking food for the family then I would eat cottage cheese with fruit or 2 oz of deli meat, I guess I felt like I needed to eat different. But I don't right? My weight loss has average 3 pounds a week sometimes more but never less.
Do you guys eat normal food?
HI!
I've been eating what we would consider normal foods for a while, but I do not do white flour carbs or sugar. I haven't been as lucky as you with 100lbs, I've only lost 88, but I am very happy with my loss. I tried to work my eating into a habit without being boring so it will stick for life. I made a conciense choice to not eat "diet" food, but to change my eating habits period. I don't want to be one of the failures and denying myself of taste will bring me back to that point as my pouch gets bigger.
I know everyone is different, but I just wanted to share how I am dealing with my new life. Congrats on you loss and keep up the good work.

First, 100 lbs. Nice job!
Second, I pretty much eat what everyone else is eating for the most part. I don't eat sugar. I eat some pasta but only whole wheat pasta, I don't eat bread. Some low carb wraps once in a while. I don't have carbonated drinks. But I can eat beef, chicken, pork, fish. I can't eat nearly as much as everyone in my family. I've only lost 78 lbs since surgery. But I feel great. I update my profile pretty regular if you want to see the pics.
Keep up the good work Kay!

I'll be the freak here, but I eat whatever I want. I can'**** a whole cake or something, but if I want it I'll eat a little of it. I know that if I tell myself I can never have X again that I'm setting myself up for failure. So I just decide that I'll eat a little of whatever it is I want. I still love pasta but I don't eat as much of it. I TRY to eat as much protein as I can, but I still have a cookie sometimes. I have a passion for fat laden shortbread cookies. I eat whatever I cook for my family, just not as much as they do.

I can't eat much on the solid foods. Meat is really hard for me to eat unless it's shredded or ground fine and in some kind of sauce like chili or soup. Pasta, I can eat about 3 to 4 bites IF I chew really well.
I'm actually getting a little frustrated with eating solids/meat because I feel bad when I do. I find that I am eating alot of soft foods without really thinking much about it... but when I do realize what I eat, it's soft or liquids! I'm a little worried that I won't ever be able to eat "normal food".

I eat normal foods for the most part although I dont eat the bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, refined sugar, etc... Like for dinner if I make london broil, mashed potatoes and green beans I just have the london broil and green beans. I eat a lot of fruit - gotta love them summer fruits - strawberries, canteloupe, pineapples, YUM!! I probably eat about 8 oz of food at a sitting. I have had some bread in the form of wraps or pizza (I take a few bites of the wrap or pizza and then pick out the insides or the cheese off the top) - I also like Taco Bell's bean burrito (again, I waste a good portion of the tortilla it is wrapped in). I can say with assurance that I am satisfied with what I eat, I do not wish I could have this or that (for the most part - once in a while I feel an "awe I wish I could have that" moment, but then I look at what I am wearing and how I look and how I feel and say - "NO WAY - not worth it!!" I have lost 91 lbs and I have 9 lbs to go to goal! These past few lbs are coming off slower and slower but they are coming off. But hey, even if I stop right where I am I am so thankful!
God bless you and keep you,

Congrats on the 100 pds. lost!! Thats great!
As far as my food choices go, I seem to do o.k I think....I eat what I make for the family just WAY less...Last night for example I made steak on the grill with potatoes and green beans. I had a slice of steak maybe the length and width of my finger and instead of potato and beans I had a small tossed salad. I would rather eat the salad anyway. It sits well with me for the most part. I still have a very hard time with pasta, rice or breads. I stay away from sugar as much as possible. I even find the sugar alcohol gives me very bad gas and/or stomach problems if I eat to much. I do well with other meats and have just been able to eat chicken the last few months. My weight loss has slowed down a bit but I am still losing...so I'm not complaining. Hope I could help!
