Has anyone's
Well, I very seldom think about food. I once in a while DO get hungry, but it is usually towards evening when I realize Oh no, I haven't eaten anything yet today!!! I do that at least twice a week. If I do that, I usually try to eat 2 suppers. One early and then one around 8, that way I am getting the protein in!!
So I would say no, my hunger hasn't returned, but I still sometimes, THINK about food, and sometimes I don't....lol!! Does that make any sense? When I think about food, I don't necessarily eat, because usually when I am thinking about food, it isn't stuff I CAN eat, it's just the old habit, but I find myself doing that less and less.
I bet this didn't help one bit...lol!! I kinda confused myself!

Yes you did help. Just knowing I was not the only one out at 7 months (give or take days) that still wasn't really getting hungry.
I keep myself on a schedule - or try real hard to do so- weekends are hard, I get busy and *forget* to eat. M - F unless something out of the ordinary comes up, I eat "on schedule".
I think about food, but just as easily forget about it also. I can't say that I'm really craving anything yet either. I can eat pretty much what I want, but don't, might "taste" it, if I get the urge, but 1 bite, I'm done.
have a great day!
Hi Vicki,
I get hunger but not in the same way as pre-op. My body starts telling me it needs food, but my stomach doesn't growl.. sorry that probably makes no sense!
Best thing to do if you're not hungry and you're busy, etc. is to set an alarm to remind you to eat. If you get on a schedule/routine you'll start to recognize your body's signals as to when it needs fuel (food). I did this and it has really helped me. Also drinking a lot of water throughout the day seems to help me 'feel' my hunger better. Not sure as to why!

I keep myself on a schedule - or try real hard to do so- weekends are hard, I get busy and *forget* to eat. M - F unless something out of the ordinary comes up, I eat "on schedule". Rarely do I get the "hungry" feeling and if I don't do something about it right now, it goes away.
My typical schedule is below:
I *eat* persay,
B - 1 CIB/NSA w/skim milk (10 oz's) every morning. 12 g's of protein. Sometimes I have 3 turkey bacon slices with that, so then 18 g's of protein on my non lazy days With my 1st calcium vit.
waterrrrrrrrr...........
S- I do a Profect protein supplement 25 g's of protein in less than 3 oz's of supplement! Love it! Not thick, not chalky, pre-mixed, tangy and sip, sip, sip it's gone. (link via my www button if anyone is interested in checking it out) 1st multi- vit.
waterrrrrrrrr...........
L- whatever is leftover from dinner last night 3 oz's lean meat - that's it, I don't usually do veggies at lunch, I get to full and don't want to eat later on. Except when I have leftover tacoless taco's. All the fixin's just no shell/tortilla.
waterrrrrrrrr........... 2nd calcium vit.
S- I don't usually have a pm snack.
waterrrrrrrrr........... or 16 oz's of decaf/nsa French Vanilla
D- I just cook, lean meat, veggies and some other side dish, I'm not cooking for only me. I eat 3 oz's of meat, 1/4 - 1/3 cup veggies and a bite or two of the side, IF I have room. Total food eaten at dinner about 1/2 c - on rare occasion 3/4 (depends on density of food****ometimes I forget if I took the earlier multi-vit so this is when I take another.
waterrrrrrrrr...........3rd cal- vit.
S- who has room for a snack? Not usually me.
B- sometimes I do another protein supplement at bedtime, especially if I know my #'s are low for the day. 2nd multi-vit.
A schedule is the ONLY way I can do it, as I said on the weekends I get busy and forget totally to eat and drink (unless super hot, then I drink a whole lot more) - only thing good about the work week is the schedule!
have a great day!
I get hungry but it's not the same "hungry" like before surgery...I don't know if that makes sense....
I still can't eat a meal (like breakfast, lunch, dinner...) I do much better if I eat something like some apple slices then a little while later eat something else...I just feel sick and naseaus if I eat too much food at one time.
I try to eat protien first but sometimes its others.
Hope I could help!!

I can't do fruit hardly at all. It lands with a thud in my pouch and then I feel queasy after that.. almost a dump. AND I miss fruit!
But I do always eat my protein 1st! and on a schedule... which sometimes... I blow off, because after 1 or 2 bites, I know I am still full and cannot take in anymore food.
Hey Congrat's on your weight loss! I cannot weight to see Onederland! I am finally JUST Obese though! 16 lbs till onederland.
have a great day!
I do get hungry - but it's an odd hungry - every now & then I get this feeling that I've GOT to eat - & what that means is that I've gone too long before meals & I'm more likely to eat to much too fast & make myself sick. I do better when I stick to a schedule of sorts - it's not hugely rigid - but about every couple of hours I have to have something - peanuts, cheese etc. makes me feel a little like I'm constantly eating.
Hi Pam,
Rarely do I feel that hungry feeling, I mean rarely. I think the other night, I said for the 1st time, I'm hungry, but then it's bedtime, so I did about an ounce of nuts and a protein supplement. I believe I was short a meal for the day, but blew it off and did nuts and a protein sup.
Sticking to a schedule works best for me. Eating too much isn't an issue as I measure out my protein at meals, eat that first, then if I still feel I have room, go back and get a lil bit more protein. I eat 2-3 bites of protein to 1 bite of veggies. But I usually always finish the veggies. Average meal size for me is about 1/2 c of food.
have a great day!
