Thanks for the info When I started surgery my goal was to lose 100 pounds in a year. I guess when we actually have surgery, we get over anxious God has given us a miracle

Maureen, I'm not so sure that is slow.... I am right about the same...... 74 since surgery......my doc says I am right on target..... I think each in his own time.... my fat has been there a long time, maybe that's why it is so stubborn!!??? B

Hi Maureen, I had my surgery 11/10 and I am 5'0", 41 yrs old. It will be 7 months post op in 2 days and so far i'm down 78 lbs. I'm very happy with my progress. My doctor is pleased as well. He has given me the same goal I gave to myself so that was cool. Keep on doing what you have been and you will see results. Whether quickly or slowly but I promise the weight will come off at it's own time. God Bless, ~Angel 255/222/144/118

I had surgery 11/01. I started at 291.5 and now weigh 205.5. I used to evaluate my progress (or lack thereof) based on what I read from others--Susan Maria for example. Now I base my progress on how good I feel and the things I am able to accomplish. I started out in a 24W, now I wear a 16W--I will be glad when I no longer have to put the "W" behind that but...in the last few months, I've been horseback riding which I couldn't do before because of weight restrictions, iceskating, and I've been to the beach. I couldn't (or wouldn't do those things a year ago). My goal is to successfully complete a 5k run next year. Right now I'm still just walking. Hang in there. Slow and steady wins the race! I'm proud of all of us. Alesia
