My 7 month anniversary is 6/29/05 but since I will be on vacation and unable to email, I will post all of this today which is about 6&1/2 months out. 1. -132 lbs from highest which was 2 months before surgery. 2. 58% so far and on track to lose about 78% of total excess pounds. Since I am only going for around 180 I used that figure to get the 58% mark. 3. Drinking no caffiene and no carbonated drinks. I am not as good as others with the exercise but am doing it. (i still hate it!) 4. A couple of friends that seem to think I am too assertive and not doing what they want me to do now. Guess I shouldn't call them friends anymore. I definitely know who my real friends are and they have stuck with me through the entire process so far. 5. Well as someone else said, I have gotten to experiment with some new sexual positions since the losing has started. Also sitting on my bf's lap as he pulls me down onto his lap all the time. He says he loves to have me that close. Great work everyone!! Lise Tulsa OK 11/29/04 409/277/180

Hi Everyone. This is a great post! I love seeing how everyone else is doing. My 7 month anniversary is on the 16th, but here are my answers: 1. How much have you lost since your highest weight? Highest weight 315/ surgery weight 302. I have lost 77 from highest and 64 since surgery. 2. What percentage of your excess weight have you lost? (total lost / # of lbs to lose x 100)? My goal is 160 so that is 45% since surgery. (Getting discouraged that it is such a low % .) 3. What is one major behavioral change you have made since surgery? (and intend to keep as a lifelong habit)? Not eating junk food - small portions and no sodas. 4. Have you lost a job, long-time friend, significant other since surgery?? Nope. Close though. 5. What is the funnest thing you can do now that you couldn't do before surgery?? Sex is definately much better. Also, just being able to move better is great. Keep up the good work everyone! Shelly 302/238/160??

Congrats Sally.... you have made progress... pat yourself on the back for the weight you have lost! don't know about the sex part since I am celibate right now, but that sounds like a heck of a lot of fun!!! Food for thought!!! Sometimes God puts people and tools in our way to help us through the tough times.... speaking from one who is battling the depression.... don't be afraid to reach out for help... you ARE worth it!!! Hi! I have really enjoyed reading everyones progress! Great idea B! 1. How much have you lost since your highest weight? 59 pounds. 224 highest last June, 207.5 day of surgery, 165 today. 2. What percentage of your excess weight have you lost? (total lost / # of lbs to lose x 100)? I think it's about 62% 3. What is one major behavioral change you have made since surgery? (and intend to keep as a lifelong habit)? Thinking about things other than food...like shopping and having fun. 4. Have you lost a job, long-time friend, significant other since surgery?? My sister won't speak to me. It might be a jealousy thing but I miss her. I'm not suppose to talk about weight loss or what foods I eat so she stopped talking to me altogether. 5. What is the funnest thing you can do now that you couldn't do before surgery?? I did a handstand the other day when noone was looking!
