My first 5K - I finshed
and I wasn't last. I met my goal of doing it in under 48:00 minutes, I need to meet that time for the Disney Marathon next January
I DID IT!! - 46:14 minutes.
I could never imagine how much my life has changed from this surgery. If I ever had any doubts that I did the right thing, this erased them all.
I cannot tell you how great it felt to cross that finish line. It was such a feeling of joy and elation wish everyone her could feel it.
I am more happy since I worked an overnight and only had 2 hours sleep before race time. So I know I can only do better. My next 5K is in West Roxbury, MA in June.
Anybody game?!?!? LOL
Thats awesome, Lisa!!! I am striving for my first run this coming fall..... I'm a little scared to run in front of a lot of people....with the excess skin and all....I don't have a lot but I have some on my belly and a little on my legs. So when I run I feel like its going everywhere~!!! My fiance' says I'm nuts but I guess you have to be there, ya know? Anyway great job on the run!!! You are an inspiration to us all!!!
