My first Roller Coaster ride since surgery...
Hi all,
12 years ago I tried to get on a roller coaster at Kings Dominion in Va-no such luck at 330 pounds I couldn't fit. The humiliation was unbareble, so with my held held down and heart in my stomach I exited the ride.
However, this past Sunday I went to Hershey Park with my family and I was able to ride every roller coaster without having to experiece the any embarressment. The only thing that bothered me was my fear of not fitting into the seat. Every ride I would look for heavier people or study the seat size.
Somehow, I'm in denial over my 97 pound weight loss. I actually found myself shaking inside. I didn't have peace until the end of the day, when I got in line for another roller coaster ride and saw a sign that said that had special seating for tall and overweight people. When I was seated a worker came up to me and asked me to move. She said I wasn't heavy enough to be seated in that seat and asked me to move, to accomidate a heavier rider. She wasn't gone more then a moment when a smile appeared on my face. I wasn't as fat as my mind keeps betraying me to be.

Hi Mary,
I cant get over the way it is so hard for our mindset to change along with our weight loss. I guess it takes things like your experience to help us to realize that yes we are getting smaller!! I am glad you had this eye opening, smile bringing experience!
God bless you and keep you,

AIN'T IT GRAND!!!
I just got back from Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure in Florida and I nearly cried when I fit in the seats. I started out at 347 and am now 223. I still had to test the seat outside and when I fit I was SOO happy.
My family even braved the front seat line so I could experience that too.
I honestly could not perceive myself as small enough to fit in the seat.
I'm so happy for you. That must be an amazing feeling! WTG!!
I'm looking forward to going to Jamaica next month. I haven't been on an airplane in about 5 yrs. I held the seat belt over my lap and covered it with my jacket so they couldn't see that it wasn't buckled in. I was too embarrassed to say that it wouldn't fit. I'd like to be able to fasten my seat belt this time!
