A WOW moment
My husband & I were at the mall the other day and I decided to go into Lane Bryant looking for some pants. I typically only shop on the clearence racks, especially right now. So I am looking at every pair of pants there and the smallest size is an 18, which is now begining to be baggy on me. So I just walked out, empty handed. Hubby asks if I bought anything and I said "Nope, they didn't have anything in my size on sale" I was sooo happy to be able to say that
What is your most recent WOW moment?
That is such an excellent story!!!! I too look forward to my wow moment being a great big goodbye to Lane Bryant... Though I am greatful they were the leaders in developing clothing that didn't look frumpy for larger women... (took them a little while to get on board with getting plus size models - but ah well...)
Much congratulations to you !!

Congrats on your WOW moment!
My latest was the other night after my sister-in-law left my house I said to my husband "Didn't she look great in her new outfit?" (She's been having some medical problems and it was great to see her out and about.) And my hubby said yeah she did but you look even better than her! I said "Well she weighs less than me because I know she weighs around 190." Then I thought Hey wait a minute...she doesn't weigh less than me! I weigh less than her! I only weigh 185 now! I'm so used to just always being heavier than everyone I know. It defintely like WOW, I am getting smaller than other people!

Hehe Debbie!! I used to do that ALL the time. I am glad it wasn't just me
All these wow moments are awesome. I had one at a store the other day also. I was shopping at Fashion Bug (my town doesn't have a Lane Bryant which stinks cause I love their clothes!!) And I was in the plus side and I saw the more I looked the more that nothing on that side fit me. So I got to go to the "other" side of the store. I seriously almost cried to be in the "normal" side. I was on cloud nine..for a few days!!

I have a uniform to wear at night when I dispatch and I was lazy and didn't wash my khaki pants thinking I would get up early and do it. So I'm rushing around when I saw my 18 year olds khaki pants for work freshly laundered. I tried them on and they fit men's 38's. In fact a bit baggy. I wore them to work. HE he - of course I would never tell him.
Thanks for making me think about it - it was a good wow moment

My WOW moment was during a garage sale the other day.
A larger woman was shopping and I told her I might have some clothes that would fit her. She said, "Oh your clothes won't fit me...I am MUCH bigger than you".
Well I really saw myself as a size smaller than her (and yes, my clothes did work for her and she bought a few)...but MUCH smaller?
It was interesting to see how someone (who I thought was close) viewed me as much smaller.
I guess we don't always see ourselves as others do.
