slow weight loss

i live in the phila area. and was wondering if peolpe are starting to see that the weight loss is slowing down. i was 317 the date of the surgery. and that date was 11/11/04. btu now i'm 220. i loss about 3 more pound cent then. but to me i went to be 165. i wonder if that wood happen any time soon. it wood be 6 mth on may 11,2005. can some one tell me a better way to eat. becasue i don't think i'm eating the rigth way. i may have in the morning water and yogurt and then i'm full. and lunch i will have a protein shakes. but for dinner i have to made my self eat.

It looks to me like you are doing wonderfully! You have lost 100 lbs!!! You will continue to lose weight and of course it will slow down as we go, but I have no doubt that you can lose this last 50 lbs. It may take another 6 months, but you will do it!!!

Hi April I think your doing great! I think the closer we get to the ideal weight for us the slower the weight loss becomes. If I could suggest anything it might be to actually up your intake slightly. I think your doing wonderful though, and you have to remember that we can continue to lose for up to 18mos. OMG...you have lost 100 lbs girl!!! How can you not be happy with such an accomplishment? Think about it, when was the last time you lost so much weight in such a small amount of time? Have you tried carrying 20 bags of potatos? That's how much you have lost . I think we all tend to compare and tell ourselves we should be doing better when in reality we are doing just great . When you feel this way think about all you have accomplished so far. Think about all the things you can do now that you weren't able to weighing over 300 lbs. For me, when I get discouraged I remember when I couldn't fit into a seat at the movies or bend over to tie my shoes and now I am walking 4-5 miles a day and being able to sit here with my laptop on my "lap" typing this to you . You are doing awesome!! Keep up the good work!!
