PUT THE CHIPS DOWN!!! NOW!!! BACK AWAY FROM THE CHIPS! Without protein these carby snacks will just set up for more cravings...what you really want is crunchy foods! TRy Atkins crunchies or try the Flaxseed Spicy Tortilla Chips (from Trader's Joe in my area) or try Quaker Q-smart Rice cheese rice cakes all these snacks are low carb, high protein and are crunchy! I have had all of these but save them for special occasions!! Best wishes .....you can do it!! Summer

Carb Options makes low carb potato chips with Lawry's seasonings, cheddar, bbq, and ranch...they come in 1 oz bags 100 cal 5g net carbs 4g fat 0 cholesterol 4g fiber 1g sugar 12g PROTEIN (soy) Only place I have found them is in the super walmart here, but I'm sure they can be ordered online somewhere. there is a carboptions.com but last time I went it was an info site, not a order product site. mic

In addition there is a new product called soy chips..... come in flavors like barbeque, ranch, salt and vinegar..... look like mini rice cakes.... but have the protein of soy.... they have gotten me through some rough spots. B

One of my favorite snacks is the Walmart brand baked cheese crackers with peanut butter. The PB has the protein to buffer the crackers, and you get that lovely crunch. Another crunch food is apple chips. I've recently seen them in Walmart, and Publix sells them too. They're freeze-dried apple slices, come in a variety of flavors. I know it's mostly carbs, but it's fruit so it's better than sitting and eating crackers or cookies or something. One way you can restrict eating the "bad" stuff is don't keep it around. Get a 1 oz bag when you want some, but don't keep a bunch of them in the house. Make it so the effort involved in getting that snack is so much that it just isn't worth it. Lorri
