90 lbs down and in a 16W Shorts!!
Went to Wal-Mart yesterday (Le Mart du Wal?) in search of some shorts, since it's getting warmer here in GA. Now, the last time I checked, I was wearing 2X bottoms and tops, but according to my husband those are getting baggy. So I figured it's time for 1X (is that the same as XL?) now.
So I looked at one set of clothes to see what size range is in 1X. That seems to be 18W to 20W, so went and looked for those size shorts. Held them up, and sorry, but those legs were waaaaay too big and so was the waist. So with great trepidation I held up the 16W shorts. Just right!! I couldn't believe it. Hubby says I should wear clothes that fit better, then people could see that I've lost a lot of weight. But it's so hard to break the baggy clothes camouflage mentality.
I haven't worn a 16 anything since high school, which was 30 years ago. And then it was "fat clothes" since anything over a 10 was considered too fat for words.
Sure wish the stores would standardize their size designations.
But now, 5 months out, I've lost 90 lbs, hopefully have broken a 2 month plateau (lost 3 lbs yesterday), my hair is coming out in handsful, and I'm in a 16W!!! Except for the hair thing and the destruction of my balance by gentamicin, I'd say I'm a pretty happy camper!

That's fantastic!!! It really is hard to break the baggy clothes habit. This past week I've started to wear shirts that are a little more form fitting (and my new size) and it's the first time that people at work have started making comments about my weight loss. I think I was covering it up with my old clothes. I wonder if I was doing that on purpose! Anyway, I think this weekend I'm going through the baggy stuff and putting it aside for someone else that can benefit from them. You are doing such a great job and should feel so proud of yourself. 90lbs if just soooo fantastic!! Keep up the tremendous work and show off that sexy body of yours!!
