Prayers Needed!!!
I would like eveyone to pray for my dad...he is going to start radiation treatments next week. He had prostate cancer 3 years ago and has been free and clear all this time, till his last PSA test came back with high levels. He will have to go through 39 treatments at 15 min a shot. The radiologist says he has a 50/50 chance. They have to be careful seeing that the radiation is near his kidneys and baldder. So please all, keep my dad in your prayers. I appreciate it.

Dear Karry,
I work at an organization called PAACT, Inc. (Patient Advocates for Advanced Cancer Treatments). Our name is a little deceiving because we deal strictly with prostate cancer. If you would like information on all the treatments available to your father, please let me know and I will be glad to help you. Our phone number is 616-453-1477. We also have a counselor available to answer any questions that you or your family may have. Let me know if I can help in any way.

HI Karry,
It's Molly again. I thought I might clarify a couple of things for you about our organization. We inform and education patients, doctors and advocates about prostate cancer and all the treatments that are available to them. Many patients and doctors only know about surgery and radiation, but there are others. We have a quarterly newsletter that we send out and we have contact with some of the best doctors around the country that write for us and help us advise our members. Again, if there is anything that I can do let me know. I am in the office from 8 AM to 5 PM e.s.t. The phone number again is 616-453-1477. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Consider it done. I'll pray for your dad and for all your family and especially you. Miracles happen. My brother Ronald, (a twin) had stomach cancer about the same time of my WLS and I felt really silly doing the surgery when he was struggling with cancer. Anyway, he went to the doctor, had surgery and got some sort of cancer shots (not chemo) and after three or four shots he went for his check up and they found no sign of it. I think the shots are about $1,500 each. Keep your chin up.
