How many calories is enough?
I am post-op almost 5 months and I'm not sure if I am getting enough calorie intake. Also how many carbs and fat is a good amount? I am doing well with high protien, low carb ( I think)
I have a hard time with a lot of meats, mainly chicken. I think I will become a vegetarian before to long.. Has anyone ever tried the veggie burgers? Are they any good?
Just bought some today, hope they taste o.k Thanks for any info.

Hi Karry,
My doctor told me that I should be getting between 900 - 1100 calories a day. I don't really count my fat and carbs I just try to eat the way my doctor told me Protein first, then veggies, then fruit, and carbs if I have any room left, which I never do. I also try to do low fat. I too have a problem with chicken. Really the only way I can eat it is ground up like hamburger meat. I have not tried the veggie burgers, you will have to let me know how they taste. Good luck on your losing.

I do 1,000 calories a day.......if I am not faithful to that number, I do not loose. I bought fitday.com cd it tallies my daily calorie intake...to me it is well worth the price. Without the cd your just guessing how many calories your eating. I want a precise system to get this weight off. Sandy in Tucson
