Joint pain.......I have it

I read you can have joint pain because of rapid weight loss. I have it....especially in my hips. Does anyone else have joint pain since surgery? Ty Sandy in Tucson

yes I have it too in my hips it started 3 weeks ago and my friend who had surgert the first week in December is complaining with the same joint pain. HMMMMMM I guess I need to read up on it. Will it go away? Brenda 325/310/237/152

i was just talking to my wife a couple of days ago, about the fact that i'm having hip pain. i was thinking it was arthritis...but maybe it is connected with my weight loss...??? i'm gonna have to look into this a bit further also!!! doug...

I am now very positive that when you shift the center of gravity with WLS surgery...things start to hurt. I am 87 lbs down....in 5 months. I also 5 months older. I am 54 now. You do hurt when you get older. I do know one thing, I had chronic-awful back pain before surgery that lasted for months...now I am pain free. Overall, I am very happy with WLS surgery. Everyday, is a fun day lately. I do so much more in 4 hrs than I did in 8 hrs before. Life is good. Life will be better 70 more lbs down. Sandy in Tucson 340/253/180 I pray!!!!!!

OH My Gosh I have it too . . I just wasnt sure if anyone else had it my hips feel like when you pull a barbie dolls legs apart . . yep I feel that pain. maybe there will be more on this subject. I wonder when it will it go away Im down 61 lbs 4 months post op will I wish you all luck on your WLS journey

I don't hurt in the hips, my pain is in my knees. I am 58 years old and I have lost about 90 lbs. Where would you go to research this? Louise
