Hello everyone, I know that everybodies talking about our recent hair loss. Some of us are fortunate to be blessed with thick hair and lots of it. Some of us aren't so lucky! About a month ago, I started losing some hair. It wasn't a big deal because I've lost hair like that in the past. But now.....I'm losing "clumps" of hair! Someone suggested Rogaine.....others talk about herbal replacement or vitamins specific to hair growth. My doctor says its a matter of time. Time? I don't know about you guys but I'm runni9ng out of time when it comes to my hair! I already got it cut shorter so I wouldn't add weight to it. Now what? I wanted to go to another board to speak with others that are like a year post op and see how their hair is.... anyone know how to go to those message boards? Anyone have any other ideas or info that I need? Thanks Megan B

I know it is a pain in the rump. I am going through the gobs and gobs stage. I don't even want to brush my hair anymore. I shed more than my cat! I do have lots of hair, but it still freaks me out. As far as treatments go they are mostly to help you keep what you have and stimulate the healthy folicle. I personally started taking Biotin lozenges and bought a B Complete supplement. Some B vitamin deficiencies show up as hair loss. Lots of us up the protein. It helps speed up the healing/recovery process. Some docs say it is from the surgery, your body is in shock and I had always heard anytime you loose weight rapidly hair loss happens. I just tried to attack it from every angle. But I don't think there is any one single thing you can do to stop it or get over it quicker. I am a cosmetologist and I haven't figured it out. I'm not a year out, but I feel your pain. Just be gentle to your hair for now. Most people tell me it starts around month 3 and last through month 5. I do know it is temporary. Hang in there!! Melinda

Hi there, I am going through the same thing. I'm losing buckets and buckets of hair and it was thin to begin with. I am going to be a bald old lady in a wig soon. My doctors say this just happens...worse in some than in others...and then it grows back. They say to try the treatments (I am using GNC hair & nails formula) but in their experience nothing really works. Yuck...just as my butt is looking better, the rest of me is looking dreadful. Jo

Hi Megan! My hair loss adventure just started yesterday, in the shower, with clumps falling out. UGH!!!! I was still hopeful it just wouldn't happen to me From what I've heard there isn't a whole lot that we can do, and I don't know how long it is before it stops but, would love to know. You're not alone. Hang in there Dru
