Today is a GREAT day!!
I just had to share! I am 15 weeks post op today and have lost 62lbs. I am now 196, which makes joining Onederland feel permanent!! I have lost over 41" since 3 weeks post op (didn't start measuring until then) but best of all, I bought a pair of SIZE 16 pants and a SIZE 16 skirt last night. Snug? Yes, but they zip and button without too much struggle!! LOL This is down from a size 26/28 just 3 months ago!! I figure I should buy a little snug now so it will fit longer. This is the first "new" piece of clothing I have bought since having the surgery. I was wearing a size 20 when I entered the store and that's what I grabbed off the rack. Too big! Then I tried an 18, which was a little too loose and kind of "hung" around my midsection, so I went for the 16 without any belief I would actually squeeze into it!! But I did and I just had to share! I LOVE the person I am becoming. Stronger, more secure. Not just because of the drop in weight, but because I put myself first for the first time in my life without guilt. Thanks for letting me share my GREAT day!!

Yay for you Erica!!! The same thing happened to me last week. I went into the store to buy 18 thinking that was my size. I tried it on had some extra room. So my daughter told me to try 16's. I didn't think it would fit me either. But to my wonderful surprise.. it fit! I am wearing them right now. I just posted a pic of me wearing them on my profile today. I feel pretty good about myself. I don't even remember the last time I wore a 16. It had to be at least 20 yrs ago.
Keep up the good work!
