Just a weight check -
Hi guys and gals! I'm down 65 pounds. Had my surgery on 11/10/04 and started out at 285 pounds and 5' 9". Yes I have the batwings too. But I feel so much better that I don't care right now. I was wearing a 22 and am down to an 18 in some things and a 16 in others. Yippee!!!

When I had my surgery on 11/16, I weighed 258. This past Sunday I was 197.5 for a total loss of 60.5lbs, but on Tuesday I was up a couple of pounds. I am getting ready for AF (Aunt Flo) so I think that may be why. I am sure it will drop down again in a few days I am getting the saggy skin behind my arms too. And my belly feels like jelly, so I am adding crunches to my exercise along with push ups, which are great for the batwings. I was on the treadmill most days for 30 minutes. I am 5'2", so I am really jealous with y'alls drop in sizes!! I am a big ol' apple shape, so even with the pounds lost, I have only dropped from a 26/28 (and all that time I thought I was a 22/24!!) to a snug 20. Got a pair of 18 shorts the other day and I think it's going to be a while for those!! LOL Hopefully, the next 25lbs or so will help move the sizes down Just really starting to notice the changes in the last month. My wedding rings are really loose and I have actually had to change one out to hold my engagement ring on!! LOL Sounds like all of us are doing AWESOME!! I know how much work the "easy way out" is, so I am really proud of you guys!! Take care

Hello.
I have lost 64lbs 240/176 since 11/8
goal is 136, so I am 40lbs to goal.
I do my aerobics tape 6 days/wk and do major activities with my children(the zoo at a rapid pace, the museum etc, at least 2/wk and I do 100 situps/day)
I used to hate exercising before surgery, but now I find that I can make a few higher fat food choices if I keep my exercise up, trade off is worth it to me.
I have gone from a size 22/24 to a 14 and those are getting a bit loose

Hi Pamela,
I started out at 349, I am now 293. A loss of 58 lbs. I have long way to go, but am feeling much better. And I have been through two plateaus. One was 4 weeks, the other 2 weeks. Off all diabetes and high blood pressure meds.
I joined the new Butterfly Life gym in my town, I go six days a week, 3 days a week on the circuit, 3 days a week do a cardio class.

Pam,
I am down 62 lbs as of last Fri to 181 and am in a 16 for the most part. I'm not a big fan of exercise (imagine that!) but I did compete in an 8.3 mile run (hey, I trotted some of it! ) on President's Day. I was worried about not being able to finish but I have done this race before, the last being in 2001. I actually ended up with averaging a 15 minute mile. Mad speed! In 2001 I was doing a 22 minute mile! I'm really hoping to break into the 170 range this Fri but I think Aunt Flo will be making her visit. I am in pain right now. As soon as my legs recover I will start exercising, hopefully on Fri. I'm afraid people will catch pneaumonia the way my arms are waving around! And I need to firm up the squishy, saggy areas. I'll look into Pilates. It sounds fun. I want to tone, not build muscle because I've got plenty of that.
I live in Hawaii and my mom is coming for the kids spring break and we get a cabin at th beach every year, so I have to start thinking about a bathing suit and fast! Anybody gone through this search yet?
You're doing great though! We all are!

1)starting height, weight and size:
5' 3" / 240 / 22
2)current weight and size, total lost:
195 / 20 / 45
3)favorite foods of the week:
Red Bell Peppers and Shrimp- YUM!
4)wls concerns of the week:
Toning my body so I don't have saggy skin, getting enough liquids and protein, trying to find some variety to my food choices
5)any WOW moments you'd like to share:
I have only gone down a size, but when I remeasured myself I did see that I have lost inches- its just not going from my stomach and/or I am losing muscle. The last thought scared me so I talked again with my doctor and I'm following doctor supervised exercise via the hospital healthplex (I have spinal injuries and get very light-headed/off balance when exercising- doctor wanted me to hold off for a little bit since I was just in a car accident)
6)do you have a goal weight, if so, how much left to lose?:
I would rather say my goal weight would be that I'd have a toned, healthy body in sizes that I can find at any clothing store. Size 9/10/Medium would be my goal size. (the smallest I ever fit into was a size 9- that's just how my body is made; I cannot get any smaller).
