Hi everyone, my name is Joann and i had surgery on Nov.29th. Sometimes i think i am a slow loser as of today i have lost 41 lbs. But then other times i am happy with what i have lost. i wi**** were a bit faster especially when i see others have lost much more... but i am thankful it is coming off. I started at 260 and am now 219. I feel pretty good most of the time but sometimes (mostly when i eat too fast) i get that feeling and then get diarrhea . I guess i still have to learn to slow down. Would love to hear from you if you had surgery on the same day as me. Good luck to everyone on here and God watch over us as we live this journey. love joann

Hey there. Same surgery date! If you're a slow looser than so am I. I'm down just about 40 since surgery. (66 total since August). When I saw the doc 2 weeks ago he thought I was right on track. Said he's expecting a loss of 8 lbs/month. but the fact that I feel better and can move out of my own way is the best. I too sometimes eat too fast then . Old habits I guess. I've done a bunch of whining about what I can and can't eat, but I know that I need to stick to what is working and reccomended. best wishes, diane

Hi losers, I too find that I eat too fast. You'd think with all the cacking I do I'd learn, but it's still a daily, sometimes meal by meal, struggle. I think your weight loss is great. I started out much bigger, so naturally I've lost more. I too compare myself unfavorably to others, wishing I'd lost more. It's human nature, I suppose. Yay for us. We're all losing. Take care, Heather

Hi Joann, I had the surgery the same day as you. Your doing great. Don't worry about keeping up with the "Jones" each of us are different. I was losing too fast and the doc had me up my calories because he said losing too fast isn't healthy either. I think you are right on track and if you haven't gained anything then don't worry. As far as the diarrhea, check on the hidden carbs and fat in what you are eating. Some people really can't handle either. (lots of time it's actually the fat you are reacting too) Keep up the good work! Tee

Hi Joann You are doing great ! I had my surgery on 11/24 and I have some days when I can bearly eat 700 calories and others where I feel like I can go to 1500 with no problem. It all depends on what types of foods I eat. I have been walking 2 miles a day and feel great with the weight loss so far and the increased energy from exercising. Don't compare yourself to others, it will drive you . Keep up the good work. Susan 375/306/190

Joann, I had my surgery Nov 10,2004 and I'm down 63 lbs. I have a problem with not stopping when I should and I get the stomach problems. You know, that extreme fullness. Other than that I'm okay. I thought I wasn't losing fast enough but, people are telling me I'm doing okay. Hang in there. Joe
