Well it's been 12 days now and the scale hasn't budged . I am getting all my protein in and eating about 900 calories a day and walking 2 miles daily. I am much more active now and doing alot more physical activity. I upped my H2O and still nothing. It feels like the scale is out for revenge . Seriously, is this normal at 10 weeks out? Could it have anything to do with me not having a period for 11 weeks? I'm very happy with the weight I lost so far, but a little depressed with this stall so early out....any feedback? I had something similar happen to me at around 8-10 weeks out. I had more than 10 days that the scale didn't budge, but I did lose inches. This has happened to me twice. I think what you are dong sounds great with the exercise and H20. Make sure that you are getting all of your protein in too. If you can, try to hide your scale for a few days or you might make yourself crazy. My surgeon told me that if I continued to lose at the rate I did in the first 6w, I would be at goal in about 2 months You are doing great! Roni Lap RNY 11/8/04 240/179/140 -61 lbs!

Susan, I understand how you feel. I lost 20 lbs. in 12 days right after surgery. I then lost nothing for 4 solid weeks. I have lost another 25 since the end of the 4 weeks, and weighed in at my 2 month app. on Jan. 27 having lost 45 lbs. I have lost nothing since. I am on another plateau, it's been 12 days. I log in on fitday.com each day, keeping the calories under 1100, protein over 50, carbs under 60. I also get in at least 64 oz. water each day. I do exercise, but am joining a new gym today. I hope to break the plateau soon. It is very discouraging, but it has to come off doesn't it? When we eat so little and work out? Good luck, post when you break that plateau. Pam

I have had the same thing happen to me. But all I can say is that you are doing everything right. Just keep doing what you are doing and give your body time to catch up to you. Someone else mentioned inches. Even when I wasn't losing lbs I was still losing inches. Cheer up it will start up again. Like Pam said.. post here when you start losing again. I read on the main message board that everyone hits the plateaus. As long as you are doing all the right things and you are.. then just be patient..(I know how hard that is.. LOL) but it will come off. ~Angel 222/187/120 Lap RNY 11/10/04

Hi, I stopped weighing myself weekly. I now weigh myself every other week. You have to remember there are certain factors: 1. weigh yourself the same time everyday, first time in the morning after using the bathroom is the best time.. naked! 2. If you are around your period, you may be retaining water 3. Have you pooped in awhile? That will make the scale stand still too. You are losing! Keep your chin up!
