How much protein?

Hi all, How much protein are you taking in daily? Is it mostly in the form of shakes, and if so, how many a day? How much at a time. I really don't think I'm getting enough. Melinda

I just switched from one shake to two and I have started loosing again! I was just getting in one (20g) now 40 plus I figure between 30 and 40 with food. Chicken, salmon, tuna, beef, eggs, etc. I don't count my shakes as meals, I count them as fluids. I just mix it with either crystal light or light oj.

My surgeon reccomends 60-90 g per day. The standard is that our bodies will not absorb more than 30g at one time though. My surgeon wants us to start eliminating protein supplements but I still drink one on days I have to work. It makes for an easy portable, drink in the car. I dont have time in the morning for bfast when I have to work. I use Problend55 which has 27.5g of protein per scoop. I usually mix one scoop with water, add ice cubes or frozen strawberries and I am off!!!! Janet

I add 1 scoop of protein mix to my shakes which is 20 gms. I also added a scoop to my 8 oz crystal lite. If I eat yogurt I add some to it. If I make SF FF pudding I add protein powder to that too. And when i'm eating I always try to get protein in first before eating vegs or fruit. I don't usually add it all up everyday. I just try to add some whatever I can.
