Bruising??

I was just wondering if anyone else has seen that they bruise easier now since surgery. Before surgery I hardly bruised at all..I mean I would know if I had a bruise because I would remember running into something that hurt or so on. Well the other day I was putting lotion on and I have over 10 bruises on my legs. Some are small (dime size) but a few a pretty big and really colorful. I don't remember hitting anything or nothing at all. Why would I have these bruises? A co-worker said I was probably low on iron and that could be it. Anyone else heard of that? Thanks so much for your help. Michelle

You should see a doctor and have blood work done. DO NOT procrastinate. It could be nothing but it could be serious. Call today and make that appointment! Donna

Go to your doctor and get blood drawn. It could be low iron or it could be something else. Don't think low iron is nothing serious because it actually could get to the point of being deadly after a time if it gets very low. There was a post on the main board not too long ago about someone that had extremely low iron and had to have blood transfusions to get it back up and some other things that didn't sound like fun. I have bruised my whole life and I have been checked, checked, and rechecked and nothing is wrong! So don't fret too much! It may just be your body changing, that's doing it! I'm sure you have less cushion now!!! But, the others are right, you may want to get it checked out just to be sure!!! Goodluck!!
