Favorite food since surgery?
My tastes are changing each week.
My find this week is ham roll-ups.... just a slice of boiled ham lunchmeat rolled around some vegetable cream cheese spread.... easy, quick. lots of protein. Also just made some homemade vegetable beef soup.... YUM!
My drinks.... homemade lemonade, green tea iced tea, I found the V8 too.... and iced tea of just about any kind.

I've been through a peanut phase, then a pistacios craze, and now I have discovered Soy Crisps.
I do not eat any bread, pasta, rice, crackers etc....this is my first... the crisps are low carb, high protein come in bbq, ranch, and chedar flavor...this week I bought some low carb spagetti sauce with italian sausage in it, added shedded cheese, zap 1/4 cup in the microwave and dipped a few crisps in itto eat like nacho dip.
Before surgery I was a tea and coffee freak, can you say a little caffeine with my bowl of sugar please. I cut out all caffeine drinks a month before surgery and have gradually added back in coffee, but mostly its decaf. In all honesty I realized it wasn't the caffeine I was addicted to, it was the taste. So now I use EQUAL...before sugery I hated artificial sugars. But now that I haven't had real sugar in almost 3 mnths, EQUAL is sugar...I don't remember the different and EQUAL is great. I like Constant Comment decaf orange spice tea (BIGELOW) and the mint medley tea..hot or cold.
I just switched from low fat milk to hood carb count down low fat milk....mainly because Carb milk has 3 sugars and Reg milk has 11-13 sugars..even if it is from lactose.
I use the carb milk and two scoops of protein powder to make sf pudding. (vanilla powder in vanilla pud, or choc powder in choc pud)
1/2 cup is 17 grams of Protein.
Good Luck to us all

Chilli goes down the best for me, but here are my others:
deli meat (peppered turkey) with cream cheese (rolled up)
yogurt (with my UpCalD calcium suppliment)
string cheese
other soups....
DRINK:
hot tea, apple juice, water
I can't eat chicken without barfing unless it's dark meat and moist, but I still can't eat much even then.
I have to say I do get bored with what I eat and I am afraid to try much variety 'cause that seems to be when I get sick!

I love cottage cheese and Dole fruit cups (mandrian oranges and peaches are my favorite) at the moment.
I also like....
string cheese
lowfat wheat thins with potted meat
Boston Market's squash casserole
KFC's chicken pot pie minus the chicken
I am so tired of SF Jello, soup, grits etc..........
It is hard to get 6 cups (required by my group) of liquid in...I probably am doing half of that.
My favorite things so far are definitely shrimp and ****tail sauce! I love salsa, cheese dip, turkey and bacon wraps, and I'm finally able to eat salads so I'm loving that too. I love going to Wendys and being able to eat on $1.00. Their ceasar salad is great! I'm not able to tolerate baked fish or baked salmon yet which stinks since its such a good source of protein, it always comes back up.
My favorite drink is sf swiss miss hot chocolate, raspberry ice crystal light, and carb countdown orange juice. I haven't seen the diet Snapple anywhere, sounds good though, I miss my sweet tea!
