What about tuna or canned chicken? Also egg beaters at this stage should be okay too. You can even puree them if need be. Those are all good sources of protein. Janet

I also get Blue Bunny low carb yogurt. It has 9 grams of protein per little container, and its pretty darn good. I can't drink the protein drinks either!! I did buy some carnation instant breakfast no sugar added yesterday, and plan to try that soon too!

Anything dairy is a sure bet, till you can eat meats and nuts etc. Yogurt, cottage cheese, beans, milk, yogurt smoothies, sugar free pudding with protein powder mixed in, grits, oatmeal. Good Luck Michelle

I drink the Slim Fast Carb Options shakes in Chocolate and Strawberry. I think they taste pretty good and they have 20g of protein/1g sugar/180 calories. I also like the Carb Countdown chocolate milk 10g protein. Snacks like Q-Smart chocolate peanut butter bars by Quaker are good. Also salmon, tuna, soft/moist chicken or beef are loaded with protein. If you cant do the shakes try to get your protein in your food choices and if thst doesn't work try the tasteless powder . Susan LAP RNY 11/24/04 374/321/190
