I'm envious
I read about everything y'all seem to be able to eat. I saw the nutritionist this week and she's still limiting me to protien only. I've been honest with my food journal and listed the sf pudding I've had. Well, I heard about that. Also, I was having cheese in the evening and heard "NO Snacking". I know all docs have different plans but mine seems so strict. So nothing other than cheese/eggs/chicken/etc for another month.
I realize that this is all for my best interest, and will follow as best I can; but does anyone out there have such a strict plan?
thanks

Diane-
My surgeon has us incorporating some good carbs, fruits, and veggies back into our diet. They stress protein first, and if you fill up on protein that is fine. All the food has to be soft, fork tender. No red meat yeat, but honestly I was never a big red meat eaters anyways. So what is you days typical menu? I love the SF/FF pudding and the popsicles, makes me feel like I am getting a treat!

HI there, Diane,
Yup. I had the same exact plan when I was where you are! LOL!
They are strict, for sure, but I do believe this is why Dr. Drinkwater's patients are so successful.
It does get better, I promise. Soon you will be able to gradually introduce other things into your diet and you will finally feel "normal". Hnag in there, girl.
Hugs,
Denise
Hi Diane,
My dr hasn't told me to avoid anything. He said I could eat whatever I want just to make sure I get in my protein first and to have at least 2 protein shakes a day. But he didn't restrict me from eating anything. I just went for a checkup on friday. He pushed the protein but that's about it.
I guess every dr is different. But they all want the same thing..what is best for us. I did add protein back because I was slacking on it and lo and behold.. i lost 2 lbs. The scale hasn't moved in about 2 weeks. So I am happy about that.
