Normal or not?

Hello everyone! I am new to this web sight. I am finding it very entertaining. I had my surgery done November 30th. I started out before surgery weighing 201, now at my six weeks I have lost 23 pounds. is that about what everyone else had lost at their six week point? I had my first fill last week but I seem to be able to eat three pieces of pizza at one sitting, doesn't that seem like an awful lot for having the fill? Please help me understand if this is normal or not. Thank you, Carrie

23 pounds seems about normal I think that's what I lost - now at 8 weeks I've lost a little over 40 - But being able to eat so much pizza doesn't quite sound right - It sounds great - but I am VERY suprised - I mean I can barely eat an ounce or two of cheese without feeling miserable & no bread - so i am really suprised - but if you can & still lose the weight & your doc is okay with it - Great for you!

She had a Lap Band (which is why she can eat the pizza). You are doing GREAT though, so keep it up!

Hey Carrie, I didn't have lapband surgery (Lap RNY) and my surgery was on 11/4. My weight loss was about the same as yours. I can eat about 1/2 piece of pizza for dinner. Won't you have the band filled tighter soon? This might resolve the amount of food that you can eat at one time. Congrats on the weight loss! Deb

Hi Deb, Thank you for you response. Do you think a fill again would be advisable? Do you think I should be able to eat this much even with out the band being tightened? The pouch still shouldn't hold this much with, or without the fill correct? What is LapRNY? I have not heard of that before joining this website. Congrat's on your weight loss too!
