Greetings November Brothers & Sisters!
Hi Summer and thanks so much for saying hi...
Kevin said nice things???? About me???? Am I blushing???
I loved meeting him too...it was such a nice group of people.
I would love to come to Mimi's...that is a day when there are lots of things on the schedule, so I'll have to be a bit closer before I can work it all out.
Congratulations on your weight loss, doesn't it feel great? And what feels the best for me is that I have left it behind FOR THE LAST TIME!!
I feel so empowered...such a difference from the usual "out of control" feeling about food and eating. I think that's why I enjoy meeting the others so much...I can talk about this part of me so freely and you'll all understand.
The wine tasting up here is fantastic, even if you don't drink wine and just sightsee while everyone else has a sip (someone needs to be the driver!). I am just minutes away from so many beautiful places...and spring is the best time to visit.
Take care, Jo
Hello Jo,
Well I hope you get your schedule worked out and can come to Mimi's next month. I'm feeling really empowered lately too. Going to the gym has brought out my old skinny feelings and I feel like I'm in my twenties again. I have had wine 2 times (X-mas & a Party) since WLS.... Merlot of course....I did fine. I know the risks and I don't want to low down my weight lose so I won't be partaking in wine tasting for several months or longer!! But I can still shop in wine country!!! Take Care and hope to see you soon!
Summer
Hi Jo,
I also had surgery in November and I'm doing good. I'm down 44 pounds and of course have drop jean sizes. But I almost have a store in my closet and I keep shopping in my smaller sizes. But soon I will have to break down and by smaller sizes. Good thing I got gift certificates for Christmas!
Liquids is a problem for me too and I'm working hard on that.
Just to say hello and glad your doing so well.
Grace
Thanks for saying hi Grace...
Sounds like we're in about the same place. I have also been "shopping" in my closed (its funny to think of it that way, but true). Still have a ways to go, but the new jeans were a necessary splurge.
Several people I know that have been through this say not to spend much money on clothes because you run through sizes so quickly. Both of them say its all about Ross (do you have Ross...discount store?).
Anyway, its an adventure and I'm so happy I'm here. Glad you're doing well too.
Jo
