Sugar anyone?

I was wondering if anyone knew an exact number for grams of sugar we are supposed to stick to daily? Obviously less is better, but I seem to have a great tolorance for sugar (rather than fats) and it kind of worries me. I hope I'm not getting too much. I don't (knock on wood!) dump from sugar so far. Thanks!

Jennifer, I don't know the recommended gms... I think it depends on what type of surgery you had.... I was taught that proximal RNYers have to be very careful of dumping on sugars.... distal RNYers tend to dump on fat. My doc only does distal so it has never been a part of the teaching from the office. B

I don't know what others recommend, but my doctor and dietician recommend 2g of sugar or less as far as the nutrition facts listed on the package.

I don't dump from sugar either. I think we were told to watch sugars because of the dumping. I don't dump but I don't want to become a candy addict either.
