Hi Rhonda, I've tried salad but I put tunafish or grilled chicken in it for the protein. I have used regular dressing (ranch) so far, but not a lot! I shake it up so that it gets all over the salad. I havent had any problems, just getting full quickly so I try to eat a lot of tuna with a small piece of lettuce. Been eating it since 6wks post op. Hope this helps. Amanda

I had a taco salad (ground turkey) last night for dinner. Very little cheese, no beans (yuck) and I did fine. I only ate a little because I fill up fast. just chew chew chew. Terri

I actually just tried salad for the first time last night since my surgery. I had a garden salad w/ thousand island dressing on the side. I just dipped my fork in the dressing .. it was regular dressing not diet or anything. I only ate the crunchy lettuce and tried to stay away from the soggier stuff. I also cut up the cherry tomatoes in 1/4 pieces. I did fine. I didn't eat alot of it but it was so good. I was craving one but was afraid to try. Since it came with my meal I thought i'd at least try it. Glad I did! ~Angel 222/187/120
