Well, here in Indiana it is COLD!!! I am wanting hot cocoa, and I bought some Swiss Miss no sugar added, but it doesn't have much protein. It says to make with water, but what I am wondering, is if anyone has tried making this with milk to add to the protein. If not, does anyone make a hot cocoa with milk, and if so, what do you use? Any help would be great!! Teresa

Teresa- Yes you can make it with milk, its a great way to add a little protein. JUst put some milk in a micorwave cup or in a pan on the stove. Watch it on the stove, stir or dont let it boil because it could burn and then its just YUCK!!!! Janet

Thanks to both of you!! I have tried to find the carnation instant milk, but haven't been able to find the no sugar added one, and the other is so high in sugars. What store do you find it at Kay? I have looked at our Super Walmart, and also Martin's Supermarkets. I just think it will be easier to drink the milk with a different taste than just plain milk!! I can't wait!

Hi Teresa, I heat up a cup of Hood milk's Carb Countdown chocoloate milk. One 8 ounce serving has 12 grams of protein; 100 calories, 2.5 gms sat. fat, 2g of sugar, 35% of a day's worth of calcium, and 25% of a day's worth of vitamin D. I just nuke it for a couple minutes (but my microwave is really old), and if I have to, I reheat it. It is also delicious cold. Hope this helps! Heather RNY 11/22/04 326/285/150

TERESA, EVERY MORNING I TAKE A SUGAR FREE CARNATION INSTANT BREAKFAST WITH A CUP OF FAT FREE MILK AND A SCOOP OF "ANY WHEY" PROTEIN POWDER SHAKE ABOUT 100 TIMES AND HEAT IN MICROWAVE. PLEASE REMEBER EVERY 10 SECONDS TO TAKE OUT AND STIR WELL OR THE PROTEIN POWDER WILL CURDLE UP, BUT THIS IS VERY GOOD AND HAS A TOTAL OF 29 GRAMS OF PROTEIN. THIS PROTEIN POWDER CAN BE USED IN BAKING, PUT ON MASH POTATOES ETC...IT HAS NO FLAVOR. I BOUGHT MINE AT GNC. NOW IF YOU PUT IT IN PLAIN WATER IT HAS KIND OF A VANILLA TASTE, BUT EVEN THAT IS PRETTY GOOD. HOPE THIS HELPS....BRENDA OF LAWRENCEBURG
