Triscuits?
Do any of you eat a triscuit or two with your tuna salad or chicken salad? I had this yesterday for lunch and was amazed!! Normally, I would eat a bunch of them with the salad of my choice, but yesterday I had 2 1/2 ounces of tuna salad and 2 triscuits and I was full and satisfied....Isn't this surgery great?? I bought the reduced fat triscuits. So, has anyone else tried this since the surgery? It was my first real carb thing. I am not allowed to eat potatoes or bread or rice etc....
I have and enjoyed it thoroughly. I too can only eat 1-2, but it is very good and very satisfying. It just freaks me out how little I eat. I am still drinking the protein drinks and getting the 60Gms and 48oz of water. That is about all I can handle. Something else I eat is peanuts, just a few but yummy. Meat I can't tolerate yet, that is why I like the tuna with the triscuit, it makes it a little more tolerable.
I was just amazed the other day that I saw that Triscuits were so good. I buy the smoked tuna that is in a bag and then some low fat shredded cheese. I take 3 triscuits and put the cheese on it and put it in the microwave just enough to melt it (it a pretty small amount of cheese, so it doesn't take long) then I put my tuna on top without Mayo or anything in it and its soo good. And I am so full afterwards. Before sugery I wouldn't be caught dead eating just tuna with no mayo and I could have ate the whole box of triscuits.
Its a good way to get alot of protein in and its low fat and hardly any sugar.
I'm glad to see I am not the only one. Cause I think people around me might think I am a tad odd

Ny RD had suggested these to me, and I kept thinking triscuts are so 'rough' I thought they wouldn't be good for the pouch - but now I know how good they are!
I put a slice of turkey pepperoni, a few black olive slices, 2 tsp. of marinara and a pinch of mozerella on one and throw it in the toaster oven - HEAVEN!
Never thought of making it like a little tiny pizza!! YUM!! I can't tolerate any kind of pepperoni, even turkey, but the marinara and cheese sounds good...lol!! Alot healthier too!! I have been going through a "tuna phase" so that is what made me wonder if anyone else is trying triscuits. Glad to hear we all enjoy them!!
