47 days since surgery can't eat
Robin,
Did you actually see your doctor or just the nutritionist? I can't believe they think this is normal? I had surgery the same day you did and I have not problems eating soft food. I don't eat much, but hey that's the point. Anyway, did they put you on any kind of acid medicine like prevacid or zantac? If you are not throwing up you probably don't have a blockage or stricture but you may have an ulcer or acid problem.
Something is definitely not right. I would insist on seeing the doctor (again if necessary****il you work this out. Are you able to drink fluids like water etc without problems?
Sandy
Robin this does not seem normal so far out afer your surgery. Definitely go see the doctor again, he may be able to give you something to settle your stomach. I have bouts with nausea after I eat a lot but not to the point where I can not eat. I was prescribed some medication, but it knocks me out so I can't take it unless I'm home.
Good luck and please follow up with your doctor.

Wow, First off i'd like to say sorry that you are both feeling so sick. Second, It nice to know i'm not the only one. I had my surgery on Nov. 10th. I was doing fine until this last weekend. All of sudden it seems everything I eat seems to make me sick. I start to get nauseaus, and my stomach doesn't feel right. After about a half hour I start to feel better. I'm hoping it will pass. I see my dr again on the 12th.
