What's an angel?

Just wanted to know what an angel is and does everyone get one here? How? Also, does anyone know where I might find a local support group in Pittsburgh other than St. Marg's? I really need to find some other wls people to talk to. Life is so different for me now and the average person has no clue what I'm talking about! I feel really alone lately.

Jennifer, Welcome to OH. An angel is a support person for those going through WLS. Generally, an angel is chosen before surgery but it sounds like you need one now.You might want to post your request for an angel and a support group on the Pennsylvania board here. There are probably some people there that can help you. Ideally that person is geographically close to you so that they can visit or phone or you can meet in person when you need support. B
