Hi Ann,
Sorry to hear about your problem. Have you tryed puting it in a processor. Thats what i did for awhile. You can also try tofu which has protein,Cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs. Are you able to drink protein shakes? If so there is one called isopure and it has i thing 50 or 60 grams of protein in one drink. They also come premade like gatorade and they have 40 grames of protein. I will say a prayer for you and hope soon you will get down. When was your surgery? Hang in there!!!
Sincerely
Kimberly
My surgeon won't even let us have any meat at this stage. I am still waiting for that. However, I have found that to****ometimes your local Japanese or Thai restaurant have some inventive ways to prepare it for ideas), any of the cheeses, nuts and seeds can be additional sources of protein that may be easier to tolerate.

Meat and Dairy are interchangeable. Both have tons of protein. I can't do meat well either, so I don't. If I do its only about 2 small bites and I don't swallow till its pulverized. But I don't like the solid stuck feeling so I stick with milk, cheeze (swiss, amer, feta), yogurt, yogurt smoothies, peanuts unsalted, almonds, peanut butter. I also just experimnted with sugar free pudding and protein powder...never thought I'd say "you can't even taste the protein" but its true. Not bad..I use Champion Pure whey vanilla, and chocolate powder. Another thing I tried yesterday was the fake seafood...they had a package of add mayo mix and serve seafood salad....ever eaten the one off of Ryans buffet? yumm...anyways its broken into tiny slivers once mixed w/ mayo and a half cup is 8g of Protein. Its light and soft...not like beef and chicken etc. So those are the tings I am living on these days.
Good Luck
Michelle
I, too, was having this problem - it would get stuck and feel like the worst heartburn I'd ever had! I would either tough it out of throw it up to get that terrible feeling gone!
Because of this, I have tried several different things. I must say that ground beef and taco ground beef sit really well on my tummy. I chew them up until they are liquid! Beans are another great source of protein (I love black-eyed peas and the beans from taco bell are good although-I add my own lowfat cheese.)
I also eat a lot of yogurt, cottage cheese and scrambled eggs. Drinking milk helps, too.
Best of luck to you!!!

My doc says no meat for at least 6 months to a year. The fibrous material in the beef is extremely difficult to digest! Chicken is a good alternative for now, shrimp also. It has been just about 8 weeks for me since the surgery and, (knock on wood), no dumping on any foods chosen yet. The only thing that gave me problems was diet grape juice, (Trader Joe's excellent product), and it was my fault because I drank a whole glass of it. I got the stomach cramps from hell, but that was all that happened, thank goodness!
Protein choices are out there, and I'm sure you can try something else until your pouch can handle it.
Take Care,
Mark
