STUCK....and getting uneasy....
Hi B,
I am not a November surgery girl, but like to lurk on all the boards.
I have to tell you something. I know exactly how you feel. On December 14, I was 172. I stayed the same until last Thursday, 12/23. I was really starting to panic because the scale hadn't budged. Then, December 27, my scale read 162! 10 lbs in less than five days?!!??? Today, my scale reads 160! Weird, eh??
My point is this...It seems to be a cycle for me. I will stay the same for a week or two then have a big loss. I used to just weigh in one time monthly at the dieticians, so I never knew what I would lose from week to week. If I was stalling, I never knew. Now that I bought a scale, I see what my weekly patterns are.
I wish I never bought the damn thing! LOL...Because it is so scary to see the scale stay the same. I used to love going to the dieticians to get weighed because I never weighed in between; it was always a big surprise. But, back to the topic here, I promise you that your scale will move. If you weighed in one time monthly, you would never even know you stalled. Like I said, I wish I never bought the stupid scale.
I did make sure it said the same as my dietician's and surgeons scale (they have the same scale; those expensive, high tech things) so I know my scale is accurate, but I am becoming obsessed. Not only do I weigh every day, but I weigh everytime I go in the stupid bathroom! GRRR...I am hooked!
Hang in there and don't fret....you may lose like I do; nothing for a week or two, then a nice big loss!
Hugs,
Denise
Thanks Denise
for your kind words and encouragement. It helps hearing it from someone who has been there. I am hoping for the sudden drop as well. I see the doc next week so I will get the official news then.
I am persevering through the strangeness of all of this, but it is certainly a learning experience. I didn't know my body could be so stubborn!!!! I guess I must have really screwed it up with all those diets in the past!
Thanks again,
B
