Hi all, I had surgery on 11-9-04 and have lost 20 lbs as of my last doctors appt on 12-1-04. Since then the scale does not seem to be moving. I go again on Monday for a check up so I will know more then. We are planning on getting a treadmill a few days after Christmas. Is this normal this early out? Please advise. Thanks Lizzi

I have been stalled for about the last 1 1/2 weeks!! Its driving me absolutely nuts!! I would like to know if this is normal too!! I have lost about 50 lbs total, but for 4 weeks before surgery, I was on Optifast so 23 was before surgery and the other 27 since....I am assuming my body just needs to catch up!!

I also had a 2 1/2 week standstill and doc said it might be because I'm not getting enough protein or exercise. I've increased both and lost 10 more pounds in 2 weeks. Ask around, but that was my quick fix. 289/249 Jennifer

I am also at a standstill....for about a week and a half. Had my surgery 11/10/04. It is so frustrating. I have lost 29 pounds and seemed to have stopped. But I am glad I am not the only one....Maybe our bodies are catching up

Hey there, Your not the only one. I had my surgery on the 22nd of November and lost 12lbs the first two weeks and then about 2lb's 2 weeks later. talk about someone upset and discouraged!!! But everyone is saying to up the protein, and start moving!!!. I stayed home for a month and didn't do much, not even house work. So I am not drinking welches grape juice and orange juice and eating more protien for the next couple of weeks to see what happens.!!! Wish me luck and let's keep in touch to see how we're doing! Man I thought I was the only one!!!

THANK YOU. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. My surgery was Nov. 10 and I have been the same for 2 weeks now. I have been told to drink more water and get more protein. I am trying. I loved water and drank plenty before, and now I have a hard time drinking a glass of it a day. So I am trying hard to make myself drink more water and get more protein. Susan in SC
