I am going to have my second scope done in the morning for severe nausea and vomitting. Has anyone else had this? I've read alot of testimonies and it seems that alot of people have done alot better than I have and I'm very discouraged.

Did you have RNY or lap band or what? Has your surgeon given you any anti nauseous medication? Ask for some if he/she hasn't offered it. I hope you'll be doing better soon. Donna

My uncle who had the surgery in July just had this done a couple weeks ago!!! He had such severe nausea!! What they found with him is, he wasn't chewing his food enough and they got a piece of meat out of there and he hasn't had problems since. Are you drinking before, during or after you eat?? I was drinking BEFORE I ate, and felt sick to my stomach every time I ate....I cut that out, and I don't get the nausea anymore. I have never gotten sick though, just had nausea. Good luck to you and let us know how you are!!

I had surgery on Nov. 30th and I have had nausea here and there but have not vomited yet even though I have sure felt like it. Most of the time I think it was because I ate too much, I keep forgetting my stomach is tiny and I'm like why can't I just eat one egg? I think drinking before and after meals has a lot to do with nausea too. Last night I ate some chicken pureed with lemon juice and it all went down great. I didn't drink 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after. Thats what my doctor suggests. Its hard but valuable info.
