How much have you lost so far??
Hi Susan,
Well i think 29 pounds is great!!! I must be a very very very slow loooooser or must be doing something wrong cause i have only lost 20 pounds since WLS which was on 11/22. Then again i was only on liquids for one day prior to surgery, so i didnt lose much beforehand. Do you think i might be eating the wrong foods? Oh dam now im freaking out! anyone else a slow looser? i hope im not alone on this one!
Hi Cinthya
I don't think any of us are doing poorly. I just think that everyone is different and every "body" is different. I was told that if I am eating correctly, getting my fluids/protein in then thats great. I just joined a gym and started today so I think that will keep me going. I wasn't looking to compare, I just wanted to see what a normal weight loss was at this point (from surgery to today). I tend to get obsessed with everything I do . Congrats on your weight loss . I think we are all doing great .
Susan
I had my surgery on 11/29 and when I weighed at the Dr.'s office on Friday (12/10) I had lost 21 pounds. I think I am doing well. I am not very hungry but I make myself eat. I am back to work and I have been walking everyday. I know I am on the right track and having a speedy recovery.
We are all different. We will all lose it differently. I do know there is nothing to worry about because we are all going to lose the weight.
Good luck to you all!!!!!
Jennifer
Just got weighed at the doctor's yesterday. I had surgery on 11/09 and have gone from 235 down to 208. I think that it all depends on where you are when you start...and the amount of protein you're getting in. He stressed to me that protein is only helping the "tool" (ugh. now my stomach went from pouch to tool!LOL)
You're doing awesome! Keep it up Any amount is success!!!

Susan,
I have lost 32 lbs since 11-04. My doc says that's great for my weight range. I was a lightweight started at 40 BMI. Everyone loses at different rates. You lose larger amounts if you started at a higher weight. I think your weight loss is great!!!! 29 lbs in 20 days is something to celebrate.
I feel great and I hope you do too!

I had surgery 11/22 and a chock full of complications. Biggest one being I lost my spleen also in the surgery due to the staplegun misfiring. I still have 2 jp drains in (coming out friday, thank God) and I'm not getting my protein in. I barely get in 20-24 fluids in a day, not dehydrated though. Foods that I've tried do go down ok.
Well anyways, unofficially I have lost -40lbs+ that was a weigh in on my mothers scale a week ago.
I'm just ready to start feeling better anytime now.
