I found you

Hi Everyone I usually read the post on the Illinois board. But here you are all the people in the US who have had surgery around the same time as me. Yippie. I posted on the other board and asked about a 3 week wall I hit with no weight loss. The next post was about being glad it was Friday. I got 2 responses and the TGIF post got almost 96. They dont have the same priorities we do. So far I have learned that I am not alone on this 3 week plateau, that I am not alone being freezing all the time ( when I used to be so hot), that I am not the only one confused and worried to death that I might be doing something wrong, and that the people over here on the November 2004 board are fabulous!!! I am so happy to have found this forum, just wish I had sooner. Colleen

I understand your feelings!! I was soooo glad to find this and to know what I am going through is normal! I think some of the post ops that are much further along, forget about all of the not knowing that we are going through right now!!!

Oh, Colleen... I know just what you mean. I appreciate being here with other new postops. I know that it's not annoying if I ask if I stretched my pouch, or to wonder if I'm the only slow loser! Glad you found us! blessings, lynnie

Well glad you found us! I have loved this board from the start! To have people getting ready to have the surgery with me, then experiencing everything post op together is great! And no, you are by far not alone on the 3 week plateau! That's my only saving grace to know that I'm not failing, it's normal!

Trying to type with gloves is hard isn't it. Summer

I have slowed down (week 4.5...actually almost 5 weeks) trying not to get on the scale. It comes off quickly the first couple of weeks...then slow down. The same people ask me EVERY day....how much have you lost....I just give them a range....lol I am somewhere between 25 - 30 lbs down i tell them..... Or I tell them "depends on what time of day" I start soft foods on Wed so we will see how I do. I also love to read posts from people at the same stage as me. It gives me comfort to see I am not alone. I get worried that I am doing something wrong..... That I am not feeling the way I should. I am just starting to feel like myself again...not as tired or sore.... I hope everyone keeps posting! Denise (RNY open 11/10/04)

yahoooo! I am normal!!! I am so excited to know that I fit in with the rest of the November people. I was really getting worried that I was doing everything wrong. Thank God I found you all! The other boards are helpful, but there's nothing like feeling you belong somewhere! Jennifer
