Missing your PASTA?
Hi everybody,
I have never been a great vegetable eater, and certainly have not tried all the exotic things out there, but tonight as I shopped for my family's dinner (spaghetti), I decided it was time to try something different. I had always heard that you can cook spaghetti squash and it is like spaghetti, but never tried it. Well, I bought my family the real deal, and I got my spaghetti squash. I cooked it in the microwave (this was the quickest way; just 10 minutes); and loved it with my pasta sauce. Only 37 caloris per 4oz (I can only have 2 oz right now), and it is stringy just like pasta. I even made my family try it, and they were impressed. The website below tells how to choose a good one at the store, and how to cook it, also offers recipes.

Here's a website with nutrition information for spaghetti squash:
http://www.aboutproduce.com/produceaz/commodity.asp?C=Squash%2C+Spaghetti
You can also go to this site and search nutrition info for ANY produce you want. Pretty neat I think. http://www.aboutproduce.com/produceaz/commodity_search.asp
