here's the actual ingredient list: caramel ( corn syrup, sugar, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, skim milk, milkfat, lactose, salt, vanillin), quadratein ( soy protein isolate, peanut flour, whey rice, sugar, cocoa powder processed with alkali, glycerin, salt, barley malt, spice artificial flavor, vitamins and minerals [each of those are listed separately here]--as you can see, largest ingredient is sugar, no wonder they're so good!

I see a lot of protein, but what about the carb count? That's just as important. I had a "Sugar Free" mini Reese's cup today, and it gave me terrible heart burn. I looked at the label AFTER trying it (I usually do it before, but I got excited that it was sf!), and it was pretty high in carbs AND fat. Bummer. I gave the rest to my family.

http://www dot snickers.com/nutrition.asp?brand=Marathon2 here is the official nutritional information I am really new at this so can someone tell me if it is good or bad? They do sound good but I stay away from anything questionable. Beth

I agree with Transplant Nurse...stay away from the Marathon Bar....I bought one and had to give it away after I read the label...I want to stay away sugar, I don't know I'll dum*****t, and I don't wanna' know...I'm diabetic, which is one of the main reasons I had this surgery, and I've done so well, I don't wanna' screw it up. I'm sure those things taste wonderful with all that sugar, but in the long run, it just can't be worth it.

Jacque, My dietician told me to read labels, and anything that listed high fructose corn syrup, sugar, corn syrup or the like to abandon, as it will cause dumping (and they wanted their patients to stay away from sugar and get used to life without it). I noticed the ingredients were started with corn syrup. They list ingredients based on the amount of it in the item, so what that means is there is more corn syrup in it than any other ingredient. I would personally stay away, because I know I would dump. (I tried low carb peanut butter on a saltine the other day and I had a rapid pulse, was lightheaded, and upset tummy for awhile, and then explosive diarrhea within 30 min...not a fun experience.) After I went potty I was all better though. Good luck! Lori
