Kendal,
I know exactly what you mean! Tonight i was at my mother's house and she had made baked ziti, i figured i can have pasta right?? well after one spoonful i was so sick to my stomach! I didnt throw up or anything i just felt sick. and now the thought of eating baked ziti again makes me feel icky! I guess this is the price we have to pay! lol!
So was I!! Actually rice too!! I have eaten deli meat from the week after surgery with no problems. I have turkey or chicken breast. Isn't it weird how some of us can eat things and others can't?? I wonder why that is....everyone is just so different!! I am so nervous to eat potatoes, bread, pasta, anything like that in fear that my stomach will stretch out because it expands in your stomach. I have so far, stuck mostly to proteins....(Guess that is good since that is what MY Dr. recommends)
YUM!!!! I used to eat those with pickles inside!! I bet it does taste good!! I am going to have to go get some cream cheese now!! I love it!!
I had to chuckle when I read what you wrote about getting sick of eating that too...lol!! That is me!! It seems everything I eat, I get so sick of!! I may eat something one time and think OH YUK, and it could have been something I LOVED before!!! Its so weird how are tastes change!!
Ironically for me I can keep down the carb stuff like potatos and bread but not the protein like chicken. I have barfed almost every time I have had chicken or other types of meat. I have been taking really tiny bites and chewing until my jaw aches but it still just feel like it gets stuck. I though for sure that the carb stuff would too, but nope. It's interesting how different everyone is that has the same surgery.
